Student life at LJMU

The perfect home for your international studies

With beaches, parkland, seafront and skyscrapers Liverpool is a beautiful city, but the view isn't the only reason people love it so much. Liverpool has all the attributes of any major European city, but with all the convenience of a small one. Whatever you enjoy, Liverpool has something for you.

LMJU is based in Liverpool, a truly beautiful city with a little bit of everything. From beaches and parks to skyscrapers and shops, there’s a reason why the city is loved by so many.

As well as this, the cost of living is lower than larger cities like London. From cheaper rent to more affordable nights out, Liverpool has all the advantages of a bigger city, with all the conveniences of a smaller one.

Best student city

Mohamed, an international student, and Mo Salah.

It was the best day of my life. When I entered Anfield for the first time, it felt like I was dreaming, everyone was singing for Mo Salah. I was then led to the Players Zone and I saw all the players and Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp. When I finally met Mo, he said that he would probably see me again, sooner or later, as we both lived in Liverpool.

Become a Student Ambassador

We have an exciting opportunity available at the International Study Centre to develop your social media skills and contribute to our social channels!

Get involved in taking over our social media, writing fun blogs, hosting Q&A sessions, shining bright at events, starring in our marketing materials, sharing your daily activities, and creating engaging content through photos and videos.

Of course, this would also be an impressive experience worth adding to your CV. Once your Student Ambassador role comes to a finish, you will receive a LinkedIn recommendation from us based on your performance.

“Choosing to apply to the student ambassador position was way out of my comfort zone, I can just be honest about that. But I'm grateful for the opportunity and it made me get more skills and apply them in my daily life. It made me more open to speaking to different people and getting different perspectives from other ambassadors” – Awrad, a previous Student Ambassador
