Studying the International Foundation Year and Extended International Foundation year
To join us at the LJMU International Study Centre, you must meet certain academic and English language criteria.
Our courses are available to students who are:
- at least 17 years old when they join us
- non-UK nationals.
If you do not meet the English language requirements for your chosen pathway programme, you can improve your skills with our English Language Preparation course.
International Foundation Year entry requirements
English language: Academic IELTS for UKVI overall 4.5 (minimum 4.0 in writing and minimum 4.0 all other areas)
Nationality: Available to international and EU students
Age: 17+
