The International Foundation Year is a two-semester programme delivered at the International Study Centre. Upon successful completion of the International Foundation Year, and achieving the required grades, you will join the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree at Liverpool John Moores University
This programme is designed for international students who have good academic qualifications and are looking to further develop their English language skills and academic subject knowledge.
We offer two pathways for progression to LJMU. International Foundation Year students can choose between the Business, Law and Social Studies and Engineering, Computing and Life Sciences pathways. Each pathway has a selection of core and optional modules, as well as English classes, and both lead on to a variety of progression degrees.
Alternatively, the Extended International Foundation Year may be a good choice for you. On this foundation course you can choose between the same two subject routes but you'll spend additional time with us at the International Study Centre to ensure you're ready for your undergraduate degree.
